Nob is within eyesight of Jerusalem. There is insufficient information in the Book of Mormon to locate Nob in relation to any other places. Researchers locate Nob just north of Jerusalem.

II NEPHI 9:113 [20:32]: As yet shall he remain at Nob that day; he shall shake his hand against the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.
Commentary: This verse references the places of the hill of Jerusalem, Jerusalem, and Nob. This verse also occurs in Isaiah 10:32. The term 'he' refers to the Assyrian. The phrase 'shake his hand' indicates that Nob is within visual distance of the hill of Jerusalem. Jerusalem is located on a hill.
