Mount Shelem

Mount Shelem

Mount Shelem was in proximity to, and likely westward of, Moriancumer. Mount Shelem was eastward of the sea in the wilderness.

Commentaries (view it on a map)

ETHER 1:60 [3:1]: And it came to pass that the Brother of Jared, (now the number of the vessels which had been prepared, was eight,) went forth unto the mount, which they called the mount Shelem, because of its exceeding height, and did moulten out of a rock sixteen small stones;

Commentary: This verse references the places of Moriancumer and mount Shelem. Mount Shelem is in proximity to Moriancumer. Since Moriancumer is on the shore of the Sea West, mount Shelem is likely westward of Moriancumer. This would also put it eastward of the sea in the wilderness.
