This is the land of Corihor. Due to the practice of naming a land by the same name as the city, it is presumed to also be the city of Corihor. The valley of Corihor is in the land of Corihor. The land of Corihor is westward of the battle site between the armies of Shiz and Coriantumr by the Sea East shore.

ETHER 6:63 [14:27]: And so terrible was the destruction among the armies of Shiz, that the people began to be frightened, and began to flee before the armies of Coriantumr;
Commentary: This verse references the places of the battle site of Shiz and Coriantumr by the Sea East shore, Corihor, and the Sea East. The tide of battle has turned and the armies of Coriantumr are now pursuing the armies of Shiz back westward from the Sea East shore towards the land of Corihor.
ETHER 6:64 [14:27]: And they fled to the land of Corihor, and swept off the inhabitants before them, all they that would not join them; and they pitched their tents in the valley of Corihor.
Commentary: This verse references the places of the battle site of Shiz and Coriantumr by the Sea East shore, Corihor, and the valley of Corihor. The term 'they' means the army of Shiz. The army of Shiz came from the battle on the Sea East shore and was moving east to west. The valley of Corihor is in the land of Corihor. Given that the city of Gideon was located on the same river that flowed through the valley of Gideon (ALMA 4:8 [6:7]), it's likely that the city of Corihor was located on the same river that flowed through the valley of Corihor. Ridges or elevated areas on either side of the valley form the valley. Valleys have either rivers or dry watercourses that would run into the sea eventually. The implications are that the armies may have been following a river from the Sea East shore, the same river that flows through the valley of Corihor.
