Directions
- In non-stick saucepan, add garlic, salt, pepper, nutmeg and 1 ½ cups of milk.
- Mix the corn starch with the remaining ½ cup milk.
- Heat the milk mixture until hot (not boiling).
- Add the cornstarch and milk mixture - wisk until slightly thickened.
- Add the Parmesan and Mozzarella - stir until melted and combined.
- With a fork, cut the cream cheese into small chunks and add to the milk mixture
- Let the cream cheese melt a little bit - then wisk until creamy (start slow and end with fast wisking).
Comments
- This is an amazingly good substitute for the more fatty Alfredo sauces. I'd put this in the category of as good or better than store-bought sauces.
